Engineers answer the hard questions, not the easy ones
In most bid teams, senior engineers spend their tender week confirming things the datasheet already says. The draft inverts that: everything the documents settle is written and cited; what reaches the engineers is a short list of closed questions — "can class B packing be offered, with what, at what cost and lead time?" — with the closest evidence attached, ranked by whether the answer blocks a mandatory requirement.
The draft
Section by section against the register, in the structure and phrasing of your past responses. Each claim carries its citation inline. Paragraphs depending on an open item are highlighted so nobody submits a draft with a hole in it.
Deviation table
Partial and Deviate lines flow into the buyer's required table — clause, requirement, deviation, justification, alternative, cost impact — with the commercial column marked for commercial to complete.
Clarifications
Ambiguities and conflicts in the package (edition unspecified, spec vs data-sheet disagreement) are drafted as clarification questions in the buyer's format within the Q&A window, each citing the clauses in conflict. Answers update the register when issued.
