Capability · Compliance matrix

Comply, Partial, Deviate or Needs engineer — each with the document that supports it

Every requirement is matched against the documentation library — datasheets by revision, certificates by validity, ITPs, manuals, past bids — and given a status with the evidence cited. No Comply without a document.

The rule

A status of Comply requires a cited document: datasheet page, certificate number, ITP line, procedure clause. If the library does not contain such a document, the status is Needs engineer, with the closest evidence found and a specific question. This single rule is what makes the matrix trustworthy to the engineers who have to sign it.

Where evidence comes from

Requirement class Primary evidence
Performance (ratings, capacities) Datasheet tables, pinned to the offered revision
Material Datasheet material lists; material certificates
Standard Certificates and declarations of conformity, with edition
Inspection / test ITPs and quality procedures
Documentation Documentation plan; past responses to the same buyer
Commercial-technical (warranty, spares, training) Standard terms; past bids

Partial and Deviate

Partial: the requirement is met except in a stated respect (rated at 100 °C not 120 °C). Deviate: a different approach is offered. Both generate entries in the buyer's deviation table format, with the alternative and a placeholder for commercial impact.

Past bids are voice, not evidence

Previous responses teach structure and phrasing. A past Comply is verified against current documents before it is reused; unsupported past claims are flagged rather than propagated.
